flat_artspace is a Vienna-based art space that develops its program around an annually selected theme—creating an open, flexible experimental space rather than a static exhibition venue. Six exhibitions per year address the respective theme in a fragmentary, deliberately contradictory manner and from shifting perspectives. flat1 sees itself as a collective space for thought and production that facilitates exchange and networking among local and international artists beyond commercial structures.
