RIVER CALLING
The Chiang Rai International Performance Art Project 2026: River Landscapes of Resistance in Thailand uses performance art as a form of social engagement to advocate for environmental protection, foster a deep awareness of river-related issues, and create spaces for dialogue and shared learning, promote the exchange of knowledge, and document the community’s memories and life experiences. What alternative narratives and energies can we bring to life through participatory performances? In doing so, we rely on empathy, intuition, and instinct, spend time in nature, and learn from the emotions, vibrations, and movements of plants and animals—from NI (Natural Intelligence).
FLUCC is an experimental cultural venue dedicated to contemporary art, music, and club culture. Located directly at Praterstern, it features two accessible spaces with natural light, two stages, as well as terraces and an outdoor seating area. Founded in 2002 as an artists’ initiative, it is now a hub for diverse communities. The program ranges from concerts and club nights to exhibitions, readings, film screenings, symposia, workshops, and markets. The architecture serves as a giant display for large-format posters, which are visible in public spaces 24/7.
