Improper Walls is a multidisciplinary, intercultural art platform founded and run by migrant cultural workers as a non profit art association in Vienna’s 15th district. Our goal is to rethink curatorial practice by understanding art as a tool for social reflection and transformation. We recognize the social, cultural, and political dimensions of both artworks and curatorial work, understanding exhibitions as spaces for critical thinking, collective learning, and solidarity in action.
