Adachemiker Masquerade Ball
For the repeated time, the etiquette of the classical Viennese ball at ada intertwines with art, music, and science: the Adachemiker Maquerade Ball. Under the patronage of Markus Hafner (renfah), the opening, dance, and masks meet a music program between experiment and dance floor — with DJ Mimu Merz and Der Täubling (invited). The centerpiece of the evening is the Placebo Forte Bar: a homeopathic drug counseling service that assists guests in designing their ideal event — entirely in the spirit of the Asifin principle, which explores how ritual, context, and expectation shape our experience. The ballroom becomes an experimental setup, every guest a participant.
ada is an off-space located at Wattgasse 16, in an abandoned apartment. It was initially used on a short-term basis as a stopgap solution after a temporary use project elsewhere fell through, and has occupied the space permanently since 2016. In the 10 years since its founding, the art association ada—artistic dynamic association—has become an integral part of the Ottakring off-scene. In addition to monthly exhibitions, the space also hosts readings, DJ lectures, and small concerts.
