Independent Space Index is the largest annual joint event of Vienna’s independent contemporary art spaces. Visitors can attend freely accessible special events and exhibitions with joint open hours.
With more than 60 spaces participating in the open house weekend, the launch event is a chance to gather information to prepare your personal tour. Get an overview of the festival program, pick up a festival guide and poster, try out our integrated digital map and navigation tool, exchange tips about the festival weekend, and join space operators and artists to celebrate and share Vienna’s lively independent contemporary art scene.
As an artist-run international institution exhibiting contemporary art, the Secession is an open venue for presentations of new creative ideas and engagements with the urgent concerns of our time.
