SUMMARY:Indexing as Method\, Day 2: In relation to architecture (Independen
 t Space Index 2026)
DESCRIPTION:<p>Independent art spaces rarely have the luxury of the neutral
white cube—architectural contexts are assertive and meaning-producing.
Drawing on Dan Graham and James Meyer\, this discussion asks how curators
and artists work with rather than against prescribed architectural environ
ments. Ornate moldings\, domestic scale\, or industrial ruin are not obsta
cles but active participants in the exhibition. Independent spaces may ult
imately offer a more honest acknowledgment of the inescapable relationship
  between art\, architecture\, and display.</p><p>Panelists:<br>Aaron Amar
Bhamra &amp\; Monika Georgieva (LAURENZ\, Vienna)<br>Niclas Schöler (PIL
OT\, Vienna)<br>Robert Müller (Curator and Senior Scientist for Collecti
on and Archive of the University of Applied Arts\, Vienna)\, NOUSMOULES</p
